In Hypnotherapy, you will be taught how to relax into a “trance” state. In a trance state the conscious mind (analytical, critical, logical, self-judging part of the mind) can take a break and allow the subconscious mind (emotional, creative, where beliefs are held, long-term memory part of the brain) to make connections, find meaning, shift attitudes, process fears, manage anxious thoughts, as well as diminish unwanted reactions and behaviors that may be getting in the way of your goals and intentions. The subconscious mind is the home of our experiences and beliefs. So, working directly with the subconscious, rather than filtering information through the conscious mind, can produce profound and lasting results.
